Dear diary
Today, it was a fun filled day. Do you know why? Today was Ganesh Chaturthi and this year we celebrated it in a different manner than last year. This year we celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in an eco-friendly manner. Till last year we used to celebrate it by making Ganesh idols made in factories which were made by Plaster of Paris, chemicals, and other chemical based decorations but this year we celebrated eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi everyone made their own Ganesh idols by using clay, red soil, cow dung and other natural decoration stuff I also made one with my family and I enjoyed making it. After making it we put it in our mandir at home and worshiped it. We did not make excessively big idols we made normal sized idols to save resources. People in society also made idols using biodegradable plastics. In our idol we filled it with mud, seed, and fertilizers in it. At final day of Ganesh Chaturthi instead of immersing in water we will immerse it in a dirt and give water to it. By this way the seed inside the idol will grow up. The fertilizers will help in the growth of the plant and the seed will grow up into a tree that will help our environment. After learning all about ecofriendly Ganesh Chaturthi I said to my parents to decide that we will celebrate ecofriendly Ganesh Chaturthi every year like this year and they agreed. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed this day a lot
